Ok ladies I personally adore everything sneakers from high top to lowtop, laceup, slipon, fabric, and textile galore. Their cute, fun, and comfortable shoes that can be worn for any occasion and yes by any occassion I do mean every single one. Tried and true I used to be one of the biggest self proclaimed sneaker heads on the face of the planet. I knew all of the biggest shoe brands and all of their newest release dates. I even made my friends take carefully written exams in order for me to reveal to them anything I knew about shoes. I was crazy but sad to say I was a very basic sneaker head. My knowledge was of sneakers was limited to Jordans ,sneakers from the Michael Jordan Nike collection, I’ll give you a second to cringe at that. Fortunately, through my relentless online research I’ve been enlightened on how broad the sneaker industry really is and I’ve realized that Jordans are actually some of the most bland on the market. Not to hate on Jordan devotees,I’ll be the first to admit the Jordan originals will forever be classics, but most of the new releases have lost their pizzaz.

As I’ve began exploring more into the wonderland of sneakers I’ve noticed that brands like Reebok, Puma, Adidas, Nike, Vans, and Converse are constantly reinventing themselves and are really showing artistry in their work. These brands are coming out with crazy never before seen styles and are setting fabulous new trends for the year. For example the Stan Smith x Pharrell shoe collaborations were in my opinion some of the greatest shoes to ever be made. They were crazy popular and crazy colorful in a more simplistic way that added a youthful touch to a recognized adidas classic. To those who say that sneakers are not for the pursuers of high fashion I have three words for you, you are wrong. In fact over the past few years it’s been the exact opposite. High fashion designers are starting to tap into the streetwear mecca and create. Adidas has done collabs with the likes of Raf Simons, New Balance has a collab with Barneys New York, and Vans with Nordstrom just to name a few. High fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto is also known for the giant impact he has made on the sneaker industry with his wildly popular shoe the Adidas Y-3. I’m telling you guys the world of shoes is truly changing and for the better.

Here are the top 7 sneakers collabs for 2015 so far. Enjoy!

  1. OVERKILL x ASICS GEL SIGHT “DESERT ROSE”

I love this shoe because the design has a lot more feminine tones to it and you don’t usually see that in many shoe collaborations. Also the floral detailing puts the finishing touches on the shoe incorporating all the major colors in the shoe while adding a subtle creative edge.

2.SNEAKERSNSTUFF x ADIDAS ORIGINALS EQT RUNNING GUIDANCE “MALT”

This shoe is nice because of its earthy toned down vibe. The simpler tones allow the design of the shoe to really be appreciated.

3. SOLEBOX X PUMA XS580 “ADVENTURER PACK”

I chose this puma sneaker pack because the colors make it more of a unisex style and black goes with everything. Its a simple yet effective look.

4. SNEAKER FREAKER X SAUCONY GRID SD “KUSHWHACKER”

The Saucony shoe has great structure and the color scheme is really fun and flashy. The way they paired undertones of silver with the different shades of purple creates a really refreshing look.

5. J CREW X NEW BALANCE 990 “INDIGO FLAME”

J. Crew comes back and slays another collaboration once again wowing the masses. The indigo flames have an amazing color scheme. The contrast of bright oranges and the dark blues creates a really rich look to the sneaker and works well with the design of the shoe.

6. RONNIE FIEG X PUMA R698 “SAKURA”

One of the best shoe collaborations of 2015 handsdown. The ombre effect on the shoe creates a lot of different levels to the shoe and the use of lighter tones in pink work really well with the white background of the shoe.

7. BAPE X UNDFTD X ADIDAS ORIGINALS SUPERSTAR 80S

adidas x bape.jpg

Adidas, Undefeated, and Bape came together to make a masterpiece. Bape’s signature camo pattern stands out really nicely against the clean with leather of the adidas shoe and Undefeated’s gold detailing adds a nice pop of color that compliments the deep blue’s of the camo very nicely.
